San Diego Software Industry Council Issues Call for Technical Papers on Analytics

The San Diego Software Industry Council (SDSIC), in association with UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering, invites scientific and technical proposals for presentation at the first annual "Forum on Analytics: From Data to Decisions." The event will be held on Thursday, October 25 at the Del Mar Marriott.

The event will showcase predictive analytics and its current use in mining data, predicting trends, optimizing performance and improving decision-making. All technical papers that address analytics in general and/or its role in commercial applications of advanced analytics will be considered. The half-day conference and workshop will provide attendees with a look at the future of information technology, and the broad applications of analytics and its impact on how enterprises use data. An afternoon discussion of current scientific trends in predictive analytics will follow the half-day conference. Submissions should include title, author and a one-page abstract. Technical paper abstracts must be submitted to papers@sdsic.org  no later than October 8, 2007.

This first annual event features software companies, professionals, academics and developers who have made San Diego the nation's leading analytics community. Companies that helped make San Diego the analytics "hub" include ID Analytics, Fair Isaac, Teradata, Visual Sciences, Oracle, Salford Systems, Veoh Networks, SEMDirector Inc., RealAgeMission Ventures, JMI Equity and Morgan Stanley.
