Spotfire Unveils Analytics for the Enterprise
Spotfire, Inc., the Information Insight Company, announced the latest version of its enterprise analytics platform for next generation business intelligence (BI), Spotfire DXP 2.0. With this release, Spotfire enables every user in the enterprise with the ability to gain more insights from the data they work with every day.
Before Spotfire DXP 2.0, the ability for business professionals to discover insights in the information they work with daily was limited by backlogs for static reports from traditional BI systems or by ubiquitous and overwhelming spreadsheets. With the new web accessible, visual and interactive Spotfire DXP Web Player, and ability to broadcast personalized and updated data automatically to everyone, along with extensive customization capabilities to make analysis part of any business process, these limitations are gone. Now the power of exploring data for insights interactively and visually is no longer for specialists but a potential information advantage for everyone.
Business users continue to turn to their Web browser as a key business tool, and Spotfire has enhanced its platform to deliver information insights via the Web. The new Spotfire DXP Web Player is ideal for sharing insights with a large number of employees or business partners. After conducting an analysis in Spotfire DXP, users simply save the file in the analysis Library and it is immediately available for others to view as a dynamically interactive report in their Web browser. Companies can deploy this thin client in locked-down desktop environments, and can customize and integrate it into portals for partners or customers to view critical analyses.
The Spotfire DXP platform offers analysis automation and broadcasting capabilities. With Spotfire's new broadcast services offering, Spotfire DXP analysis templates automatically generate new analyses based on time or event triggers, or underlying data changes. Spotfire DXP can then disseminate these automated interactive analyses to a broad base of internal or external users via linked or embedded data that can be launched directly from portals, applications or analysis libraries.
Spotfire offers one open, extensive platform that supports enterprise integration. The software development kit (SDK) for Spotfire DXP 2.0 enables developers to build compiled extensions to the platform. Spotfire will also release client and server application programming interfaces (APIs) to support custom application development, "mash-ups" and other business process integrations.
Spotfire DXP 2.0 enterprise analytics will be generally available in June. For more information, visit http://www.spotfire.com.
