Brooks Sports, Inc. Signs Multi-Suite Contract With Lawson Software
Lawson Software announced it signed a multi-suite contract with Brooks Sports, Inc. for Lawson M3 enterprise software applications. Under the contract, the company will implement Lawson business intelligence, supply chain management and e-procurement application suites to provide functionality specifically designed for fashion and apparel manufacturers to meet Brooks' growing business needs. The contract was signed in Lawson's second quarter of fiscal 2007, which ended Nov. 30, 2006.
Brooks Sports, Inc., located in a Seattle suburb, designs and markets performance running footwear, apparel and accessories for men and women. Its products are sold in more than 40 countries worldwide.
The Lawson applications will replace Brooks Sports' legacy business system, which had become highly modified and disjointed. As a result, the system was unable to provide the scalability and visibility that was necessary for the company to effectively compete on a global basis. With insight into the supply chain, Lawson will help enable global sourcing for the company.
