Hyperion and HyperRoll Establish Partnership
As part of a new partner agreement, Hyperion, a global leader in business performance management (BPM) software, announced plans to bring its acclaimed Hyperion System 9 together with technology from HyperRoll, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance data aggregation software for business intelligence (BI) applications. The partner agreement is part of a mutual resolution of patent litigation between the two companies, which also includes a technology cross-licensing arrangement and an equity investment by Hyperion in HyperRoll.
The multiyear alliance includes a close collaboration between the two companies that will be focused on bringing together HyperRoll technology and Hyperion System 9 components. HyperRoll's technology is purpose built to deliver immediate and substantial improvements in BI performance, and is complementary to Hyperion technologies. The resulting solutions can enable customers to reduce their overall cycle times required by financial reporting applications. They can also help enterprises bridge their growing data gap by transparently making data available to end users, no matter the source being accessed.
