Kognitio and Nextanalytics Partner in OEM Agreement
November 24, 2008 - Kognitio, a leading global provider of business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing solutions, and Nextanalytics, the developer of a high-performance embeddable analytic engine, announced the signing of an OEM agreement between the two firms.
Under terms of the agreement, Kognitio will offer Nextanalytics with its WX2 purpose-built analytical database as part of its data warehousing as a service (DaaS) offering.
The agreement between the two firms will deliver value to companies that want to implement and benefit from data warehousing/data analytics/BI implementations without high start-up, operational and support costs traditionally associated with such projects. By combining Nextanalytics embedded BI tool with WX2 in a DaaS or managed environment, organizations with limited financial and staff resources can conduct large-scale predictive analytics projects cost-effectively.
We're thrilled to be part of Kognitios product line, said Ward Yaternick, president and CTO, Nextanalytics Corporation. Our technology is complementary, and has the potential to deliver a level of innovation and synergy that has never been seen before in the BI industry. Blending WX2s capabilities with our powerful business layer is exactly what companies need at this time, he added.
At a time when businesses are under greater competitive and financial pressures than ever before, our ability to deliver a complete, cost-effective package capable of producing fast, reliable, flexible results is critical, said John K. Thompson, chief executive officer of North American Operations for Kognitio. We are forecasting that a majority of our sales over the next 18 months will be via the DaaS delivery model; such sales depend on integrating powerful, yet low-cost elements to keep the price to our customers affordable with a quantifiable return on their investment. Nextanalytics BI software will help us achieve that critical objective.
