Netezza Enters Location Intelligence Market
September 16, 2008 Netezza Corporation released Netezza Spatial, an application extension to its high-performance data warehouse appliance.
With Netezza Spatial, business intelligence (BI) professionals, business users and geographical information system (GIS) professionals can run location intelligence applications on huge, comprehensive datasets without being hindered by the costs and complexities that previously plagued these deployments, according to Netezza.
To facilitate the seamless integration and analysis of spatial and nonspatial data, Netezza is partnering with leading extract, transform and load (ETL), GIS and BI/visualization vendors in the market, including Idea Integration, Intergraph, MapInfo, Safe Software, SRC LLC and thincSoft.
