Alfresco Selected to Power Acrobat.com Content Services

September 2, 2008 - Adobe implemented Alfresco Software’s document sharing and collaboration capabilities as part of the file sharing features in Acrobat.com.

 

Adobe chose Alfresco as its content repository for its clustered high-availability, security and technical support. By working with Alfresco, Acrobat.com will be able to deliver content services that support millions of documents and terabytes of data.

Acrobat.com is a set of free online services - file sharing and storage, PDF conversion, online word processing and Web conferencing - that can be used to create and share documents, communicate in real time and simplify collaboration within and between organizations and individuals. Alfresco’s open source content management software is used as the file repository in Acrobat.com, which allows users to simply share files and documents while maintaining control of those documents.
