Colorado Housing and Finance Authority Selects Akorri BalancePoint
June 12, 2008 The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA), a leader in the affordable housing industry, selected Akorri's BalancePoint cross-domain performance management software to assess and manage the performance and utilization of its VMware virtual server environment, including associated storage capacity and physical and virtual SQL Server environments.
BalancePoint helped CHFA identify and resolve storage and performance issues affecting critical corporate systems, which enabled CHFA to delay the purchase of additional storage.
Before purchasing the Akorri solution, we did not have a tool that could give us a comprehensive view of our application service through to the storage environment. We initially brought BalancePoint in to analyze our storage environment because we were concerned we were approaching full capacity of our storage array, said Steve Perkins, manager of infrastructure technology for CHFA. However, BalancePoint showed us there was a large amount of untapped storage available. Based on the assessment, we reorganized the way the data was stored on the arrays allowing us to delay the purchase of additional storage from one fiscal year into the next.
