JMR Construction Builds Virtual Infrastructure with DataCore
May 8, 2008 - JMR Construction Corp selected DataCore SANmelody through a relationship with DataCore partner Integral Networks.
JMR Construction focuses primarily on construction projects contracted by the federal government. The company is a small-to-midsize enterprise employing about 40 people directly.
Integral Networks installed two VMware ESX servers at JMR virtualizing and consolidating all of JMR's existing servers.
JMR Construction is a longstanding customer of DataCore partner Integral Networks. Integral set up JMR with its first server to run their terminal-based system six years ago.
"Integral Networks maintains our entire infrastructure, upon which we run our business," said Ron Rivard, vice president, JMR Construction Corp. "Our employees access the computer systems almost 24/7 and Integral Networks are the ones that make sure it stays up and running, that we stay up on the latest technology and that we are able to use the latest technology effectively - like we have done with virtualization. Any problems our users have on a daily basis are addressed and our partner ensures that all of our security needs are covered."
Integral Networks is also deploying an additional SANmelody solution for JMR that will reside offsite at Integral's data center and utilize DataCore's asynchronous mirrors over IP connections to replicate data between JMR's primary office in Folsom, California and Integral's office in Sacramento.
