Infor Announces Enhanced Version of Infor ERP COM for Mid-Market
April 9, 2008 - Infor announced a new version of Infor ERP COM that allows for increased customization and improved processes in areas such as order management, sales analysis and accounting for mid-market manufacturers in the automotive, industrial equipment and machinery and metal and plastic fabrication industries.
The enhanced functionality improves project and multisite management, customer service and warehouse management, creating operational efficiencies and enabling increased competitiveness and a more effective supply chain.
In todays global marketplace, mid-market manufacturing companies need to improve their business processes to remain competitive, said Markus Stahl, Infors manager of industry and product marketing. More than 1,500 German-speaking companies rely on Infor ERP COM for its robust, business-specific functionality that can help them leverage their technology investment for further business growth, reduce their total cost of ownership and improve their profitability.
Enhancements to Infor ERP COM include new customized features designed to increase collaboration for multisite manufacturing companies. Infor ERP COM 7.1 now enables manufacturers to more efficiently manage multiple projects and multiple production facilities, improving information sharing and enhancing customer service.
Infor ERP COM 7.1 extended warehouse management capabilities to reduce operational costs by effectively managing inventories. With this solution, mid-market manufacturers can automate the receipt of inventory, track the movement and storage of materials throughout the warehouse and efficiently process orders.
Infor ERP COM 7.1 is also now SOA-enabled, leveraging the Infor Open SOA components for easier integration with complementary solutions from Infor.
