Are you aware of off-the-shelf operational data store solutions?
Question: Are you aware of off-the-shelf operational data store (ODS) solutions? I am looking for a solution to store event data from machines in a manufacturing supply chain. The ODS will feed both analysis and reporting and operational systems, since it will provide the means to store otherwise transitory data.
Tom Haugheys Answer: The only packaged ODSs I know of are part of major ERP products like SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.
