Q:  

What is the best source of information for populating a geographic hierarchy dimension? There seem to be many services that will place a postal code in the proper city, county and state.

A:  

Chuck Kelley?s Answer: My answer depends on your geographic hierarchy dimension. If all you want are the city, state, county and the postal code, then there are many products on the market that can help you with that. Some data cleansing products such as the type offered by Trillium and First Logic may be more than you need. For starters, I would go to the US Postal Service and ask them to provide you with CDs on an on-going basis with the information you desire.
