BusinessObjects Data Integrator 6.0 from Business Objects is real-time and batch data integration tool designed to simplify and accelerate data movement and data sharing across the enterprise. Business Objects first launched Data Integrator in August 2002, when it completed the acquisition of Acta Technology, Inc. Data Integrator 6.0 combines enterprise- class extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) with leading business intelligence capabilities. The new version provides organizations with easy meta data management across the BI platform; a proven next-generation real- time architecture and enterprise-class performance, administration and ease of use.


BusinessObjects Dashboard Manager from Business Objects delivers management dashboards, scorecards and alerting capabilities to the enterprise. Using these capabilities, customers can implement enterprise performance management (EPM) ? the strategic application of business intelligence to improve organizational effectiveness.  BusinessObjects Dashboard Manger provides the ability to create at-a-glance displays that show the status of business metrics using easy to understand interface conventions such as gauges and build scorecards and cascade them through their organization to ensure that everyone is aligned to the same goals.


C2 CRM Content Manager from Clear Technologies is a content management module that offers an automated approach to updating regularly changing information on a company's Web site. It also permits approved users access to certain areas on their Web site to change or update content quickly as needed. Using this new module a company can create customized, dynamic customer portals that offer real-time status reports on outstanding support issues, product orders, shipping, billing and more. C2 CRM can automatically update the content based on information stored in the C2 CRM system.


Integration Architect from Data Junction Corporation can handle distributed integration for enterprises of all sizes, delivering low total cost of ownership. Integration Architect presents a comprehensive integrated development environment (IDE). Among the tools available within Integration Architect are: Explorer, Integration Process Designer, Integration Map Designer, Adaptor Schema Designer, Document Schema Designer, Extract Schema Designer and GoPeep!. Data Junction also announces an integration platform to move to a completely open XML-based meta data repository for managing and exchanging data and their corresponding integration processes. The new XML- based underpinnings that define an integration process allow Integration Architect to gain considerably more reuse by separating Map objects, greatly enhancing reusability in medium to large-scale production environments.


Allink Retail from Harte-Hanks, Inc. is a complete end-to-end analytical customer relationship management (CRM) solution designed to optimize customer relationships and increase a retailer's profitability. Allink Retail helps retailers communicate the right message at the right time, through the right channel, to the right customer. Allink Retail is the first of several vertical solutions Harte-Hanks will introduce in 2003, based on its Allink suite. Allink Retail provides users with data quality, campaign management, data analytics and a marketing-ready data mart that combines scalable hardware, efficient data feeds, data model and data storage to support user access to relevant data points. The solution also offers marketing-ready reports, models and campaigns tailored for retailers, to help users get up and running and realize results quickly.



WebFOCUS 5 from Information Builders delivers more than 450 new features that ensure unparalleled performance and maximum three-way scalability ? scaling to support more users, more applications and a broader and more diverse user base. This new Java Servlet-based implementation significantly minimizes hardware requirements while providing a completely "open" environment that allows WebFOCUS 5 to deliver content to any third-party portals. Archive for DB2 5.1 from Princeton Softech delivers enhanced processing performance and faster access to archived data to meet the increasing needs of companies challenged to manage expansive database growth and reduce costs. Archive for DB2 5.1 delivers new options to speed the removal of large volumes of rarely accessed data from overloaded databases once it has been safely archived.The enhanced archive indexing and search capabilities provide faster methods for accessing archived data stored on tape, near-line devices or searching data that has been migrated using IBM's Data Facility Hierarchical Storage Management (DFHSM) or similar software. This release also includes enhanced features for browsing archived data and additional options to provide information about the specific archive, delete or restore actions to other applications.

SAP xApps cross- applications from SAP are a new breed of packaged composite applications that snap-on to existing IT environments. The first SAP xApp cross-application, Resource and Program Management (xRPM), was shipped globally to customers in December 2002, with many additional xApps scheduled for shipment in 2003.


Version 2.1.5c of Backup Express from Syncsort includes support for active-active clusters for Exchange and SQL Server, improved installation procedure for Windows clusters and NetWare 6 clusters, the addition of device auto configuration wizards, a new SharePoint Portal Server interface, the creation of a Bexbrick Utility for setting up a MS Exchange interface and several enhanced support features for Novell NetWare.  Other enhancements take full advantage of the capabilities of various supported platforms and simplify implementation. 


SmartMaps Viewer 2.0 from Universal Map is an advanced Internet mapping platform that displays data in vector format using SVG technology. This allows for more intuitive navigation and faster access to client data. SmartMaps Viewer version 2.0, built on SVG technology, provides searchable, intelligent graphics and an interactive display of spatial data resources. Some enhancements in SmartMaps 2.0 include faster zoom and pan functions without calls to the server, new ruler and selection tools, a dynamic scale bar function and on-the-fly loading of geographic layers.
