Accounting Firm Deploys Metastorm
Ehrhardt Keefe Steiner & Hottman (EKS&H) PC, a Colorado-based accounting and business advisory firm deployed Metastorm.
Metastorm BPM is being used as the foundation to aid in creating streamlined, automated processes across the organization to help with the day-to-day activities of running an accounting practice.
“Metastorm BPM is a well established product with a track record of success in helping firms manage enterprise-wide processes, so our decision to go with it was easy. We have been extremely pleased with our implementation thus far,” said Duane Squier, director of information systems, EKS&H.
Bingham Selects Recommind
Bingham McCutchen LLP, a national law firm, chose Recommind’s MindServer Legal platform to power the firm’s information management system.
Bingham’s network of approximately 2,500 lawyers, paralegals and support staff will be able to more search, manage and retrieve information to serve clients.
“Bingham has grown from approximately 200 lawyers in 1995 to nearly 1,000 today and from four offices to more than a dozen offices in leading financial centers throughout the world,” said Bingham CIO David Furey. “Bingham needs to ensure immediate and efficient access to critical information worldwide – regardless of its location. Italy’s National Institute of Design and Mint Chooses JBoss
The National Institute of Design and Mint in Italy (Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, IPZS) selected Red Hat’s JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform to develop and implement software services in a service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment.
IPZS is a company with Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance and is responsible for printing and disseminating of the Italian Official Gazette, government publications, security and anti-counterfeiting systems, fine art publishing and ID documents.
“Migrating our systems to JBoss solutions was a strategic choice for us. It not only offers economic benefits, but also provides constant innovation and enhancements from the community that are key aspects for a company like ours that provides high-value services,” said Maurizio Quattrociocchi, IT and telecoms director at IPZS. “Our adoption of the JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform, together with Red Hat support, has been extremely successful, because it has enabled us to take advantage of the best of both worlds by increasing the reliability of performance levels and by optimizing our IT systems.”
Great Clips Selects IBM Cognos Software
Minneapolis-based Great Clips selected IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence (BI) as its standard to streamline operational reporting and analysis.
Great Clips wanted to better support salon operations by automating its reporting and analysis processes and providing business users with increased access to performance information through self-service capabilities.
“Our strategy is to purchase flexible, best-in-class applications that require minimal maintenance, deploy quickly and give managers easy-to-use self-serve capabilities,” said Kathy Wetzel, vice president, IT at Great Clips. “With Cognos we can reduce reporting and analysis efforts and improve data consistency and accuracy, which will give our operations and franchising managers the insight needed to make better decisions. We expect to see a rapid payback on our investment simply from freeing our business users from manual analysis.”
Dutch Hygiene Product Company Selects Infor ERP
Wecovi, an international manufacturer and distributor of hygiene materials, selected Infor ERP LN to support its global business operations, including logistics, manufacturing and financial administration.
The ERP solution will be deployed throughout the company’s facilities in China, UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
