Spotfire Inc., a provider of Guided Analytic applications and services, announced the hiring of Lacey Brandt as chief financial officer. An 18-year veteran of high-growth technology companies with a strong record of strategic financial planning, Brandt will steer the company's financial course through the next phase of its growth. Brandt most recently was the CFO of eXcelon Corp., a Nasdaq-listed software company specializing in databases and XML-based technologies for the telecommunications and other industries. As CFO of eXcelon, Brandt led mergers and acquisitions, managed financial and business plan development and analysis, and positioned the company for its mid-1990s IP0.
Brandt's 18 years experience in financial management drove both fast growth and long-term profitability at high-value technology companies including Internet systems integration firm i-Cube; networking equipment vendors Proteon and Banyan Systems; software company AICorp; and Boston-based Cullinet Software, a database software pioneer that became the first publicly held software product vendor. She began her career as a commercial lending officer at Bank of Boston.
