Can you tell me where to find a good, comprehensive

By Sid Adelman and Joe Oates and Clay Rehm

Q:

Can you tell me where to find a good, comprehensive "template" for a data requirements document?

A:

Sid Adelman?s Answer: Ralph Kimball, Margy Ross, Warren Thornthwaite and Laura Reeves, authors of The Data Warehouse Lifecycle Toolkit: Expert Methods for Designing, Developing and Deploying the Data Warehouse, New York: John Wiley & Sons, 1998, have a wonderful chapter on requirements gathering.

Joe Oates? Answer: You can find some requirements templates at gannthead.com. The Data Warehouse Lifecycle Toolkit by Ralph Kimball covers this nicely also.

Clay Rehm?s Answer: Please see the following books: Data Warehouse Project Management by Sid Adelman and Larissa Terpeluk Moss ? Addison Wesley and Database Systems by Thomas Connolly and Carolyn Begg - Addison Wesley, ISBN 0 201 70857 4, third edition, published 2002.
