IBM and Microsoft Join dataWarehouse.com as Charter Sponsors

New York - March 18, 2002 - IBM and Microsoft are the newest charter sponsors of dataWarehouse.com, Ron Powell, publisher and editorial director of DM Review, announced today. DM Review and its associated Web sites launched dataWarehouse.com in August 2000.

IBM and Microsoft join Ascential Software, Trillium Software and Teradata, a division of NCR, as the charter sponsors of dataWarehouse.com, an online user community of 21,000 data warehousing and business intelligence professionals.

"We are pleased to welcome Microsoft and IBM on board and look forward to working with them in making dataWarehouse.com an even more valuable research and business tool for information technology practitioners," Powell said.

At dataWarehouse.com, industry professionals can access a wide variety of quality online editorial content and take advantage of other features such as open discussion forums, an interactive research and information center and virtual trade shows.

"We launched dataWarehouse.com with every intention of creating an online community that completely serves the needs of the industry," said Mark Brohan, Web publisher and interactive editorial director at DM Review. "We look forward to working with IBM, Microsoft and our original charter sponsors - Ascential Software, Trillium Software and Teradata, a division of NCR - in meeting this important objective."

"IBM is pleased to be a supporter of dataWarehouse.com in an effort to educate customers on the emerging trends in data warehousing and business intelligence," said Lauren Flaherty, vice president of marketing, IBM Data Management Solutions.

"dataWarehouse.com is a great resource for data warehousing and business intelligence professionals to meet as a community, share best practices and learn from experts on the latest industry trends," said Bill Baker, Microsoft General Manager for SQL Server Business Intelligence. "Microsoft views our charter membership as a great way to help educate customers on our vision for business intelligence and make BI more accessible to organizations."
