Business Process Integrator Suite Introduced by Sybase

    Online News published in DMReview.com
January 24, 2002

Sybase Announces its Business Process Integrator (BPI) Suite 2.1 ? a comprehensive set of integration and business process management tools targeted at key business integration challenges, delivering business agility and rapid return on investment.

Sybase BPI 2.1 marks the integration of Sybase and New Era of Networks products and offers the broadest support for leading B2B business process management and integration standards including Web services (WSDL, UDDI, and SOAP), RosettaNet and ebXML.

"To stay competitive, businesses need the ability to integrate information, applications and processes on both sides of the firewall. The Sybase BPI suite provides those capabilities, while also preparing organizations for the future with Web services support," said Bill Ho, senior vice president and general manager of Sybase?s e-Business Division.

The Sybase BPI Suite is a comprehensive solution that enables enterprises to buy and deploy incrementally. This allows companies to solve immediate challenges today, while building toward the future with an end-to-end integration solution built on an open application server foundation. As enterprises move to extend their business processes outside their boundaries, Sybase BPI Suite provides the tools necessary to integrate and automate the interactions and flow of information throughout the extended value chain.

"It is not enough to be only a database company anymore," said Nick Gall, senior vice president, META Group, Inc. "Vendors must provide complete software infrastructure platforms that are integration focused in order to provide for their customers."
