DM Review Interactive to Launch Special Report on Business Intelligence

    Press Release published in DMReview.com
May 14, 2001

Brookfield, WI - May 14, 2001 - Now that business intelligence applications are evolving beyond just financial analysis and impacting all parts of the enterprise, data warehousing professionals have a critical need to keep up with the constantly changing pace of new BI products, project planning and systems integration. That's precisely the news and analysis they will get in DM Direct BI Report, a new special report and supplement to DM Direct.

Beginning this summer, the more than 26,000 readers of DM Direct, a weekly electronic newsletter covering data warehousing business and implementation issues, will receive DM Direct BI Report. Each bi-weekly issue will include an extensive news section, two feature stories written exclusively for DM Review Interactive by leading business intelligence experts, an opinion column and a "Query the Experts" question/answer summary. Other editorial highlights include a new product round up and a statistical look at a specific business intelligence trend such as personalization.

"Business intelligence continues to be the number one area of emphasis for most corporations," says Ron Powell, publisher and editorial director of DM Review. "It is only fitting that DM Review launch this special report which will deliver quality editorial and analysis to our readers."

In addition to professionally reported and written news stories on business intelligence trends, readers will also find ongoing features and columns authored by BI experts from BASE Consulting, Greenbrier & Russel, Intelligent Solutions Inc., Knowledge Integrity Inc. and other leading consulting firms. Opinion columns on customer analytics will be supplied by Jason Bloomberg, director of retail research, Internet group, IDC and other authorities.

"The amount of corporate information necessary for analysis is growing exponentially," says Mark Brohan, Web publisher and editorial director at DM Review Interactive. "Our business intelligence readers have questions they need answered and our exclusive editorial will help get them the news and analysis they require."
