Vality Technology Launches New Release of Integrity eSearch for Optimized E-Commerce Searching and Indexing

Boston, Mass., Dec. 4, 2000 ? Vality Technology, a provider of enterprise data quality management software and consulting services, introduced a new version of INTEGRITY eSearch with major enhancements to promote customer loyalty, increase online catalog sales and facilitate site administration.

According to Jupiter Communications, 48 percent of buyers cite the ability to search and find products on a Web site as the leading factor that will spur future online purchases. Earlier this year, Vality addressed the search problem with INTEGRITY eSearch. This latest release takes INTEGRITY eSearch to the next level ? making it easier for companies to personalize Web catalogs based on previous queries entered by individual customers and provide more accurate and reliable product information, improving the customer experience and driving more transactions.

"One of the most critical, and often overlooked, technologies enabling successful e-commerce initiatives is data quality," said Stephen Brown, vice president of product strategy, Vality Technology. "Shoppers' search queries are unpredictable, with varied terminology and, sometimes, keying errors. Online catalogues, especially in B2B net marketplaces representing multiple vendors, contain inconsistent data formats and nomenclature and vague product descriptions. INTEGRITY eSearch cuts through the `noise' of users' varied input and the inconsistent data in catalogs to locate the products that shoppers want and provides information to site administrators to continually enhance searching capabilities to optimize sales and the customer experience."
