Boston, Mass., Aug. 29, 2000 ? MultiMart Web Financials, developed by Newtec Inc., has developed a completely 100 percent Web-based reporting tool solution which allows end users the ability to not only view online reports, but create them as well. Using XML and Java technology, Newtec is able to deliver this business intelligence solution to corporations requiring thin-client, high- volume reporting.

``Our customers have been requesting the ability to deliver high-quality, publishable financial reports for our MultiMart enterprise data warehouse,'' said Paul Newton, president of Newtec, Inc. ``Not only have we been successful in delivering this, but we have given it to them in a 100 percent web-based package.''

Using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x, corporations can create and access financial reports within the intranet or on the Internet. The solution runs off Newtec's MultiMart enterprise data warehouse, which is a Microsoft SQL Server- based solution. MultiMart extracts information from enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software to populate a large data warehouse which supports ad-hoc query and reporting, online analytical processing (OLAP) as well as management/financial reporting.
