Cary, N.C., Aug. 11, 2000 ? SAS Institute, a market leader in integrated data warehousing and decision support, and Decision Consultants, Inc. (DCI), a premier information technology services provider, announced that they have established a formal business partner alliance. As partners, SAS and DCI will identify business solution opportunities in large- and mid-sized corporations where DCI can deploy robust, enterprise-wide solutions using technologies from SAS.

The two companies are launching this relationship with a tour of six cities in which both DCI and SAS have offices. These visits will give employees an opportunity to form relationships at the local level, enabling SAS and DCI to more effectively identify customer needs and deliver market-driven solutions. The tour began July 27 with a visit to DCI's Raleigh, N.C., office and continued August 8 with a stop in Chicago. Company representatives will visit Detroit; Denver; Austin, Texas; and Tampa, Florida.

"By offering SAS solutions to our clients, DCI will be able to ensure the desired return on the client's investment and high satisfaction with the delivered services and products," said Jack Krasula, chairman and CEO of DCI. He added that being a SAS partner would strengthen DCI's customer satisfaction by giving DCI professionals additional technology solutions to offer to their clients.
