New Orleans, La., April 11, 2000 ?Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) issued roadmaps for its recently acquired Sterling Software, Inc. (Sterling) products. These roadmaps outline how CA plans to extend its global leadership in the delivery of software and services to enable faster, better, safer and more reliable e-business computing. Announced at CA-World 2000 and the Sterling Software E-Strategies 2000 Conference, the roadmaps outline CA's aggressive plans to extend Sterling products through ongoing development and integration with CA software to deliver an extensive range of e-business solutions.

``Articulating these plans is absolutely vital to the thousands of our clients who are working feverishly on e-business initiatives and have entrusted CA with all or part of their requirements,'' said CA President and COO Sanjay Kumar. ``That we can do so only eight days after closing one of the largest acquisitions in the history of the software industry further underscores CA's commitment to not only work fast, but to get it right.''

The roadmaps cover CA's plans for enhancing, extending and integrating Sterling technologies in the following areas: e-business intelligence, application development, storage management, network management, automation and help desk.
