New Orleans, La., Aug. 30, 1999 ? Cognos announced that it has extended its relationship with PeopleSoft through an agreement to co-market Cognos business intelligence solutions for use with PeopleSoft?s human resources, finance, manufacturing and distribution applications. The use of Intelligent Business Reporting (IBR) from PeopleSoft and Cognos within these applications will help customers drive costs out of the enterprise, streamline the decision-making process and increase sales performance.

IBR will allow companies to reap the benefits of business intelligence by analyzing operational data, such as cash flow, expenses, currency exposure, time and labor, benefits, recruitment, inventory turnover, production capacity, sales and supplier performance. This bundle will be available in the fourth quarter of 1999 through PeopleSoft?s Strategic Services organization.

For more information, visit the Cognos Web site at www.cognos.com.
