ALM Works announces the release of JIRA Client 1.0, the first version of a handy desktop client for Atlassian JIRA issue tracking and project management system. This client offers interactive user interface, search, offline mode and other capabilities that expand JIRA functionality to organize issue tracking for more convenience and efficiency. JIRA Client makes issue tracker a more powerful and more easy-to-use tool. JIRA Client has powerful search with complete Boolean logic processor, which allows users to build any combination of filters, grouped by AND, OR and NOT operations.

Borland Software Corporation unveiled Borland Gauntlet, a continuous build and test automation product that supports effective lifecycle quality management (LQM) by enabling organizations to continuously track, measure and improve software quality throughout the application lifecycle. Gauntlet institutes quality controls within existing version control processes. These controls, or "gauntlets," enable development teams to identify and isolate problems earlier in the application lifecycle - when their impact can be minimized - by automatically inspecting development artifacts every time a change is made or at desired intervals. Gauntlet has been developed from the ground up to adhere to Borland's Open ALM product strategy, designed to support the integration of a wide range of development and testing tools while still providing a unified view of all quality metrics.

Clarity Systems announced the launch of Clarity Financial Statement Reporting (FSR), a solution for the creation of an organization's external financial reporting processes. Using Clarity FSR, reports are dynamically driven from a central database, while leveraging the formatting capabilities of MS-Word - allowing for the production of formatted reports with the appropriate commentary and supplementary notes. The advanced software provides a collaborate environment while ensuring data accuracy, the use of workflow and audit trails, and providing better internal controls for corporate governance. Furthermore, templates can be re-used for each reporting cycle to speed up the statutory reporting process.

Compuware Corporation introduced a new quality assurance solution, Compuware Quality Management. Compuware Quality Management enables QA organizations to deliver higher quality applications by arming those organizations with the tools that they need to effectively implement and monitor their quality process. This new solution helps organizations progressively mature and manage quality across the life cycle, accelerating the path to quality governance. Compuware Quality Management is built to help organizations take the next step in quality maturity by enabling those organizations to implement a repeatable quality process and to put metrics in place to track ongoing projects. QA managers then use Compuware Quality Management to monitor these metrics and to ensure that their teams are consistently executing the organization's quality process, ultimately delivering higher-quality applications.

Ipedo announced major enhancements to the XQuery Views capabilities in Ipedo XIP. In conjunction with the W3C's formal establishment of the XQuery standard, Ipedo now provides organizations with XML query processing and data virtualization in an EII platform. Now, with Ipedo, organizations can have deeper insight into their corporate data and content. Ipedo's XQuery Views also enables queries across combinations of data from remote XML and relational sources. This feature increases access to critical data and content across organizations. XQuery is a query language that is designed to query collections of XML data.

Kaseya International Ltd. announced availability of the latest version of its Kaseya IT managed service software with extended support for Microsoft operating systems, including Microsoft Vista. In addition to Vista support, this 4.7 release of Kaseya's IT management software delivers systems monitoring alerts to mobile devices and support for 64-bit Microsoft operating systems among many other enhancements. Developed for managed service providers, companies providing IT outsourcing services and corporate IT organizations, the Kaseya managed service framework is a new generation of managed services software that provides an integrated, automated and remote systems management solution with a complete view of the IT environment.

Kognitio announced Pricing Appliance, a rules-based pricing engine that allows business users within large organizations to rapidly load, explore and analyze data and run complex financial computations, having generated spreadsheet-like rules to identify pricing anomalies and missed revenue opportunities. Powered by Kognitio's WX2 analytical database and RateIntegration's PriceMaker Enterprise Pricing Server, Pricing Appliance is a scalable modelling appliance for activities such as revenue assurance, tariff planning, margin and cost analysis. Available now for telecom operators, future versions of Pricing Appliance will be targeted at retail, utilities, transport, VOIP and other tariff-based clients.

Lawson Software announced it has delivered a new technology solution for Lawson M3 applications, Lawson M3 System Foundation 7.1 and Business Process Management 7.1. The new technology solution is designed to simplify lifecycle management activities and provide Lawson customers with a solid business process and service oriented architecture (SOA)-based foundation for their ERP applications. By decoupling Lawson M3 Technology from Lawson M3 Applications, Lawson helps customers reduce the cost and time of upgrades and provides a sensible method for staying current with their supporting technologies - all with minimal disruption to business processes. The Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System is specifically designed for product-centric industries with "make-move-maintain" business processes. These markets typically include specific industries such as food and beverage manufacturing, fashion and apparel manufacturing, wholesale distribution and asset-intensive industries.

LogiXML announced the releast of Logi 8, a pure Web-based, unified and XML-based solution that offers robust BI functionality, including managed and ad hoc reporting, OLAP analysis and BI data services, accessible by technical and nontechnical users in organizations of all sizes. Organizations can have reporting applications up and running on Logi 8 in hours. Logi 8 empowers users at all technical levels and across all functional groups in an organization by allowing them to access, analyze and share business information through BI capabilities optimized for specific user groups. The Logi 8 Platform consolidates key capabilities to enhance pure Web-based BI like AJAX support for interactive reporting and .NET 2.0 support for increased performance and scalability. The Logi 8 Platform also makes it easy for organizations to deliver a full range of BI functions built on one consistent architecture at a lower price point compared to current market share leaders.

Paisley Consulting announced Paisley Enterprise GRC, a governance, risk and compliance solution for enterprise customers. Paisley Enterprise GRC combines the features of the company's compliance, risk management and internal audit technology with its knowledge of industry best practices. Paisley Enterprise GRC has six components built on a single central data repository - financial controls management, operational risk management, enterprise risk management, internal audit, IT governance and compliance. The components share common functionality for risk assessment, reporting and issue tracking, while providing the ability to perform independent assessments.
