Demand for Open Source Fuels Growth at Allegro

    Online News published in DMReview.com
January 11, 2006

Allegro, an IT professional services firm, is moving into a larger office space at Virginia Center Commons in Glen Allen, Virginia to accommodate the increasing demand for open source services. This new space will provide room for additional staff to handle Apache, PHP, MySQL, SugarCRM and Mambo CMS services for businesses in the Greater Richmond area.

With so many powerful, inexpensive solutions available for download, Allegro is making sure they have the staff and skills to provide comprehensive support, which businesses need to capitalize on using open source solutions.

Since 1993, Allegro has been modifying and tuning software to better meet the needs of specific businesses. For the last two years, Allegro has invested heavily in expanding its team as well as its skills and certifications, specifically in open source technologies including PHP, Java, MySQL and AJAX. With each member's unique set of skills, the team can deliver a broad range of services for customers when necessary, yet still with expert depth.

Allegro provides open source services in many areas such as: CRM (customer relationship management), CMS (content management systems), MRP/ERP (material requirements planning/enterprise resource planning), web storefront, and email. Allegro helps install, customize and support them as needed as well as integrate them with legacy systems. Since most open source applications are free, businesses can choose one, many or all of them.
