TongTech and Sun Launch Business-Oriented Architecture Through Joint Efforts

    Online News published in DMReview.com
December 23, 2005

TongTech, one of China's leading middleware technology companies, and the world's biggest UNIX system vendor, Sun Microsystems, announced today that a cooperation agreement, based on JAVA, would be established and a business-oriented architecture (BOA) would be launched. The announcement came at a publicity meeting held today by the two parties.

Besides satisfying SOA and traditional middleware technology, the new architecture integrated application experience, which makes the development and deployment of software satisfy users' needs better, satisfying the increasing demand for support platforms in China.

General Manager of TongTech Heqing Niu said, "The cooperation between TongTech and Sun is unique and established on our common business strategies. We can take BOA either as a new system architecture or as a method. For a long time, there existed many technological ideas, such as the thought about cooperative development with kits and components, while BOA integrates these ideas."

BOA's goal is to satisfy users' business demands by solving application and integration problems and providing technological system architecture based on middleware and SOA. The three-layer system architecture includes basic middleware, integrating middleware, and vertical solution package (VSP) from the bottom to the top, which depends on one another. Integrating the middleware products and VSP according to BOA can support the business or industry application.
