FusionWare Corporation has acquired all of the outstanding shares of Pacific Software Associates (PSA), an IBM Business Partner based in Hillsboro, Ore. In a second transaction, PSA acquired Portland, Ore.-based NCS Tek, an IBM Partner that specializes in providing mid-range and enterprise computing solutions.
PSA is a full-service IBM hardware and software solutions provider that serves the forest industries, government agencies, and business accounting fields. Expanding its offerings with the FusionWare Integration server, PSA will continue to operate independently, as a wholly owned subsidiary of FusionWare.
"These acquisitions significantly expand both FusionWare and PSA's presence within the market," said Alan Davis, CEO of FusionWare. "By adding the competencies of NCS Tek and the power of the FusionWare Integration Server to PSA's already diverse menu of services, PSA becomes an even stronger IBM Business Partner. Customers of both companies will benefit from a significantly broader range of product and service offerings."
Under the terms of the agreement, Davis will become CEO of PSA. Current PSA CEO, George Herr, will remain on as an advisor to the company and serve in a business development role. Herr will also join the FusionWare board of directors. NCS Tek's President John Kjos will join PSA as a Senior Account Executive. Other employees will also retain positions through PSA. The combined companies will have 50 employees.
