DM Review Announces Results of Newly Released BPA Circulation Audit

    Press Release published in DMReview.com
April 5, 2005

BPA circulation audit verifies major increase in demand for the magazine and strong growth in business intelligence technology purchasing

New York, NY - April 5, 2005 - DM Review, a SourceMedia publication and the premier source for business intelligence, analytics, integration and data warehousing, announced today the release of their December 2004 audit of circulation conducted by Business Publication Audits (BPA). The new audit reveals a growing demand for DM Review with strong reader affinity and increased purchasing involvement from key categories including business intelligence technology, data warehousing, application development, computer hardware, and storage.

The audit supported DM Review as a publication uniquely targeted to reach decision-makers who purchase technology.  The BPA audit concluded that 96.2% of DMR subscribers are involved with buying, approving, evaluating or recommending technology products or services. In fact, 62% are involved in purchasing business intelligence technologies, 58.8% in computer hardware, 57.3% in application development, 53.9% in data warehousing, and 49.6% in storage technology.

"We are pleased with the results of this BPA audit as they match our continued efforts to provide best-in-class editorial coverage and hands-on information for the growing business intelligence marketplace," said Brian Cronin, publisher of DM Review. "While DM Review's controlled circulation of 75,016 remained relatively unchanged from last year, our magazine is now 100 % (1-year) requested by our subscribers, clearly demonstrating that this is a publication of integrity and a compelling showcase for our advertisers to deliver their message..

DM Review subscribers represent a key cross-section of the industry's most prominent organizations that have embraced business intelligence technology as key to their ongoing success. DM Review continues to increase its reach into the higher levels of diverse enterprises.  In fact, while the percentage of IT managers and staff who receive DM Review increased slightly to 48.5% from the last BPA audit in June 2004, the percentage of corporate executives increased by 9% to 45.5% from the last BPA audit conducted in June 2004
