QlikTech Appoints Anthony Deighton as Vice President of Marketing

QlikTech Inc., leading provider of powerful and rapidly deployable business intelligence, analysis and reporting applications, announced that Anthony Deighton has joined the QlikTech management team as vice president of marketing. Deighton, previously a general manager at Siebel Systems, brings to QlikTech an extensive background in management and product marketing.
At QlikTech, Deighton will be responsible for product marketing and global marketing strategies. Deighton brings fresh ideas and insights to positioning, product strategy, and branding. He will be responsible for sharing QlikTech's revolutionary value proposition with the media, analysts and customers.

The addition of Deighton to the management team builds on a series of high profile additions to the QlikTech organization. Last month QlikTech announced a $12.5 million venture capital investment in QlikTech by Accel Partners and Jerusalem Venture Partners. In January, QlikTech announced that Rick Pitts, a former SAP executive, was tapped to run U.S. operations, and Paul Wahl, also of SAP as well as Siebel Systems, was appointed in February to the QlikTech board of directors.

While at Siebel Systems, Deighton's career quickly advanced as he held positions of increasing responsibility including product manager, group product manager, senior director, and general manager for various Siebel product lines and divisions. Prior to joining Siebel Systems, Deighton worked as a business analyst within the consumer industries practice at A.T. Kearney in Chicago.
