Siebel CRM Solutions to Run on IBM DB2 Universal Database for Linux

Siebel Systems, Inc., a leading provider of business applications software, and IBM announced database support for Siebel's CRM suite on Linux. Siebel is working with IBM to extend support for Siebel 7.7 on DB2 Universal Database for Linux and provide support for Web Server and App Server tiers on future versions of Siebel CRM solutions in 2005.

This strategic direction follows the recent launch of Siebel 7.7, a comprehensive family of CRM applications that enable enterprises to manage customer relationships across all touchpoints and channels and drive corporate performance. Siebel Systems' support for Linux illustrates the company's continued commitment to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) for its customers, support open industry standards and address key customer requirements.

Enabling Siebel CRM applications on DB2 Universal Database for Linux reinforces the commitment of both companies to one of the fastest growing open source environments. IBM and Siebel Systems will market, deliver and service Siebel CRM on DB2 Universal Database for Linux to meet the growing market demand for open, easy and affordable software solutions.
